I wrote this story in 7th grade with two other people. I have advanced a lot as a writer, but I still wanted to post the original so we could see how far I have come. Please be kind, I know it's a bad story and isn't written well. I am working on the rewrite right now and hope to give the characters the development that they deserve.
In the Kingdom of Nagara a young farm boy lives watching life pass day by day. He watches his fellow villagers starve. The little food they are able to make to be stolen by the cruel Prince Edward. As Daniel grows his heart grow for his people as well as his hatred for the heir apparent. One day, he encounters a strange friend that will help him grow into the person he is meant to become. The person who will help save his kingdom from the grasps of a selfish prince.

This is a project I originally started in like.. 7th grade and I've re-written and re-written it over and over again and I'm publishing this now in hopes of it being the final version of the story. I'm not done yet and updates might be irregular, but I got a whole bunch of stuff on my plate next to this, I hope if you do give it a read, you still enjoy it. They say write about what you know, and this is sort of that, a little. My two main characters, Wylie and Elias, going over their days as trans guys in middle school; Wylie playing pretend that he's a cis-guy who has not yet hit puberty, and Elias, who's openly trans at his new school, even though he's been mentally scarred by his outings before. Elias is aroace and has depression; Wylie falls from one crush into the next and has severe trust issues and self esteem problems. The two of them have been, as mentioned, my projects for a longer time now, and I think I've got them right this time. I wrote this in 9th grade it's mortifying. I stole some ideas from otherfanfictions. That being said it is actually a really good fanfiction but the pieces don't really connect. I smelt something calming, like the smell of rain and vanilla and suddenly, a guy came in charging at Gabriel. Gabriel didn't have any time to react as he was knocked to the ground. I stared at them in shock as I backed away, not knowing what to do. " Leave him alone! " I yell at the stranger throwing my hands in the air.
