The older sister of Jack Manifold, who are Blazeborns, falls in love with a Merling named Niki Nihachu. Seraphina Manifold knows that she cannot be with Niki due to the past battles between the Oceans and the Nether and the fact that she cannot touch water, but that doesn't stop her from sitting by the ocean every night she comes to visit to talk to her favourite person. If Seraphina stays with Niki, she may lose the throne as she is the first in line, but she doesn't care, she loves Niki, and not in a platonic way. Niki, who is in line for the throne of the Ocean, may also lose that spot if she reveals she loves Seraphina, this sweet Merling decides things need to change, and heads to her best friend for help.
