I'm Totally Random - a book of random oneshots
I've decided to finally start posting some of my writings, so this is where I will place the stuff that is too short to warrant it's own book. It will be filled with completely random stuff, so you never know what you will find here. Some will be old stories I wrote years ago and some will be newly written, some super short and some rather long. It all depends on how inspired I was while writing it. Madelyn Norlyse. Brown hair with matching brown eyes and a soul that's absolutely lifeless. Dull. Empty. She has been abused and used so many times that she lost count. She doesn't let anyone in easily and trusts almost nobody. She was left for dead, her soul unresponsive and almost annihilated by pain and anguish. Her only joy is her one best friend... that all changes when Dylan Romano comes along. He teaches her to live and she gives him life. -----Extract----- I start to hyperventilate waiting for him to speak. I wasn't allowed to speak without them wanting me too. "Do you know how worried your mother has been?" he asked calmly. I didn't like it when he was calm. He would become angry afterwards. "I asked you a question girl" he stated now looking at me. Another voice responded. There was a slight pause, "Hmm. Then where is that heartbeat coming from, I wonder." His voice had a sickening amusement to it, and her heart rate uncontrollably spiked with the adrenaline pumped through her veins. Was he talking about her? The thought that he could hear her heartbeat was crazy. It just wasn't humanly possible. Footsteps grew closer to the kitchen. Somehow, they had found her. She said one last prayer and goodbye to her life as the pantry opened. "Boo." The man yelled, peering in at her. She was frozen. There was nothing more she could do. She was going to die. "Little Birdy," he stretched out his hand, "come out to play."
