The Light Between Storms (Book 1)
Elara never meant to stand out. On Kamino-where lightning splits the sky and cadets are pushed to their limits-she's just trying to survive. Exhausted from night shifts and falling behind in the combat medic program, she's one mistake away from being cut. She doesn't expect anyone to notice. Especially not them. But Clone Force 99 is watching. Led by the enigmatic Hunter-sharp-eyed, soft-spoken, and impossible to read, the squad offers her something unexpected: a second chance. A new kind of training. And a place she never thought she could belong. As Elara fights to prove herself, her bond with the team deepens... especially with the quiet sergeant who sees more than she wants to admit. Ambassador
If you want to read a slow burn about Crosshair, this is for you. It is completely cannon compliant and fun to read if you have seen the first season. It fits into the season as if it was always a part of what was happening. What if Crosshair stays with the empire because he has more there that just being a good soldier to come back to? Written in novel format based on Season 1 of the Bad Batch, this is a platonic romance that dives into the darkness of what Kamino has done to the clones and what the future holds for them after Order 66 and the enactment of War-Mantle. As an author, I enjoy looking deeper at the issues of interpersonal drama woven together with politics. A story about Crosshair and his journey fits that quite nicely. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Story Description: The war was over, but the danger of the future remained. As the Clone War came to a close, Ambassador Alanja Rampart, the sister of Admiral Rampart, is tasked with learning the truth of the dark plans of the Kaminoans. To her horror, Kamino is far darker than she could have ever imagined. Her only comfort among a sea of cloned faces is CT-9904-Crosshair. #1 starwarsthebadbatch #1 crosshairxoc #2 crosshairbadbatch ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Fanart available on Instagram: @regina_au_mundi ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Regina au Mundi is my fanfiction pen name, and I am a published author in the Young Adult genre.Complete
