"Be Mine"
-Pens and Papers - By AL
"It's not right falling in love with her, huh?
I can't, after all.
But what can I do?
When every day, all I asked for is to see her."
"I don't want this either.
These feelings and emotions
I tried avoiding it. Neglecting it. Cursing it.
But I can't help it.
When everything about me is wishing to be with her?"
"Your drinking?", her daughter spoke to him while his on reverie.
"It's been a while since the last time I saw you drink.
So, you love her, huh? You finally realized that you love her."
He sits there quietly, not wanting to talk. He just listened.
After all, he knows that what he feels isn't right.
"What are you gonna do about it?
She has someone she loves now."
He knows that. He saw it in her eyes. The way she looked at her man.
How he wished those gazes were meant for him.
Without realizing it, tears fell down his cheeks.
He's pathetic. He really is. After all that he's done, he has the guts to cry now.
"Dad, she told you she loved you. She begged you and even me.
It's you who pushed her away. You've hurt her enough. She has someone now.
Just be happy for her."
With that, she left him to drown in his sorrow.
And as the liquor consume him,
he can only say "I wish you can be MINE".
