When Newt and the others reach Jorge's hideout, they meet a girl with the ability to command Cranks.
y/n used to work for WICKED along side her brother, Thomas and best friend, Teresa before she found out what they were doing to their friends and her boyfriend, Newt in the maze. She tried to warn both of them, but they wouldn't listen. She gave information to Jorge and Brenda to sell to The Right Arm in exchange for protection from WICKED.
When y/n sees who Brenda brought back with her, she freezes. Seeing them, triggered memories that she wanted to forget.
Along side Jorge and Brenda, y/n helps them find The Right Arm and destroy WICKED.

Living in the Scorch has not been easy for (Y/n), but she manages to get by. With her father Jorge beginning to loose control of their compound, she's finding it difficult to stay. All she wants is to be free, to explore the Scorched world, but on one stormy night, she finds that some new people have survived in the Scorch and found their way to her home. It's been a while since newcomers had arrived, so this intrigues her. She then meets Thomas and his crew whom of which are trying to find the Right Arm just like her father. One boy in particular, a young sarcastic boy with great hair, catches her eye. Seeing the opportunity, (Y/n) decides to help them in exchange for being a part of their group. She has to get them through the Scorch safely to find the Right Arm, and she can't help but fall for that young sarcastic boy, but she isn't the only one with a small crush. A certain British blonde boy has fallen for their fearless leader, but with this love interest being conflicted, will Thomas return the feeling? There are challenges, people get taken, and with the flare becoming airborne, anything can happen. Will they make it to the Right Arm or will WICKED beat them to it? Or maybe, death will. (This is a Minho fanfic that is based primarily on the movies, though some aspects will be from the books. (This is the final book to my Newt x reader series. The first book is 'In These Walls' and the second is 'In the Scorch') According to WICKED, the trials are now over for the Gladers, but Thomas is locked away in a room and (y/n) hasn't been able to see Newt since they got back from the Scorch. WICKED also promises to give back the memories to the Gladers and reactivate the special qualities each pair of partners had been given.
