Since Raisa moved to Ketterdam, she has been attracted to trouble. Not the bad boy type or the fake barrel monsters. She wanted real trouble. Every rule was something to break. Every person was a stepping stone. Who could blame her? Raisa's uncle was the worst kind of person in the Barrel. If you know of Ketterdam, you know that's saying a lot. His schemes led her father to lose everything after her mother died. Raisa's father would tell her horror stories about this uncle as he blamed him for the death of her mother. He hoped she would never seek out a relationship with him. What her father didn't realize is that he was inspiring Raisa to become worse than this uncle could ever imagine. He inspired her to tear down the person who killed her mother and destroyed her father.

This story does not follow the shadow and bone or Six of crows timeline perfectly. and the ages of the characters will be a little messed up.

A few days after Alina and I escaped the clutches of my brother, the former Ravkan general of the Second Army, Aleksander Kirigan, we parted ways. I went with Kaz Brekker and his gang of thieves, affectionately nicknamed the Crows, back to Ketterdam, while Alina Starkov and her friend, Mal Oretsev, left for other lands beyond the walls of Os Alta. In Ketterdam, I made a name for myself, aiding Kaz and the Crows in all manner of criminal behaviour, forgetting that I was ever the younger sister of the Black Heretic. But I've lost everything I've ever known. I don't know where my mother or my dear friend Genya is - sometimes, this new life is unfamiliar and uncomfortable, especially within the tight, damp spaces of Ketterdam, this sprawling criminal town that seems so big and yet so small. Or within the base of the Crows that I sometimes call home - or the feelings that I seem to feel for Kaz Brekker. Kaz and I still don't understand each other, and I don't think we ever will. Alina and Mal set off across the sea, and from what I heard, they were going in search of the second of Morozova's creatures, the Firebird. Alina hopes that with the help of the Firebird and the Stag as Grisha amplifiers, that she might be able to take down the Shadow Fold for good. I know that my brother, Aleksander Kirigan, did not die that day in the Fold, and that one day he would come to exact his vengeance upon his lost Sun Summoner and all of Ravka. As Kaz prepares to unleash fresh hell on old foes, and as Alina prepares to hopefully end the terror of the Darkling once and for all, I myself am preparing for a war on both sides. A war to protect my newfound friends and family, the Crows, and a war to protect my people, the Grisha.

"How could you... last night... I was helpless! You are the one who molested me! And you dare do it again now!" she huffed. Khail wasn't affected with her crying. "Yes, I dare. You are just too sweet not to be tasted." His statement rang deep in the back of her mind. These were the words of an insensitive, cold-hearted demon. No more, no less. He was lusting on her --yes he was-- and that was the rightful particular emotion of choice. "I said don't come any closer!" she cried again when she noticed him inching more towards her. "I will stab you! I swear I will stab you demon or not!!!" she threatened, but it was only gibberish talk for Khail. "Nonsense Selene. Stab me if you want," he urged and this surprised her greatly. He continued to close in on her and this time, Selene didn't hesitate plunging the knife into his chest. ~ S ~ Easy for Supernaturals to live their life in what everybody calls 'forever'. That is easy for angels yes, but for demons, it is most likely a damnation of boredom. And that -- is the truth. However, how much more would it be for a demon who has a unique power to wield time and space? What is HE to do with such an unlimited lifetime then? ~ S ~ So this is a 5-part short story about Khronus and Selene that is stand alone but still connects to my book, SANCTUM. Maud had a lot to achieve and a lot of people to disappoint. She was working hard as Medical student, until she just couldn't bear it anymore, so she gave up. Leaving university behind, she focused on getting money: she sang, she dance and, above it all, she saved; all for the reason that she wanted to pay someone to find anything foul about her older sister's soon-to-be-husband, a man too old for her and two of her friends that went missing far too many years ago. And she finds someone who knows all the secrets of Kerch. Kaz Brekker - though she knows him by another name. Kaz Rietveld, her childhood friend, the one she was looking for. And she just can't understand how that boy she knew became the monster he says he is.
