The Dark Side Of The Moon

This story is based off of the entire studio album of Pink Floyd's "The Dark Side Of The Moon," hence this story's title. This tale does not keep a constant plot, but simply highlights the contemplations sure to reach a human during their life. Each paragraph is an excerpt reflected by a song in the album, in order. Each of the nine selections in total are given presence in this piece. Coincidentally, this story also has the amount of words that sum up to the year of the album's publishing: 1973. I wrote each paragraph while listening to the song that it corresponds to over and over again. Enjoy!

The Wasting
***COMPLETED***So get this... We've been living in a dystopian nightmare for 10 years now. Grandpa Alfred says it's the older generation's fault--well duh! To make matters worse, Bell, my twin sister, contracted "The Wasting." No doubt she caught it by helping the kids in the Forbidden Zones. That's where all the mutant freaks live. Not just your usual freaks but kids with missing limbs, half a face, twisted spines... My witch of a mother thinks it's from the nuke plants leaking after the purple lights lit up the skies. The preggo's babies turned into monsters. Due to Bell's bleeding heart she only has a month to live. Grandpa says he knows this invisible guy with a cure, (yeah right... what you've been sniffing Grandpa?) He's disappeared and so close to "Recycling" age. Now it's up to me and only me, Izzy Quest, a freaked out teen from Brooklyn, to save my dying twin sister. You may have guessed by now, I'm not the save-the-day-sort--Bell is. She's the sweet, honest, dependable, pretty twin. Don't believe me? Ask my lunatic of a mother. "You look like Bell; try acting like her." If Bell had to save me, she'd be all organized with sticky notes and a compass. Me? What do I have but OCD, a short fuse and a cynical attitude. Oh, but I can run--fast. I can outrun any boy in my school. Well, when there were schools. As of today, all schools are closed indefinitely. Thanks evil, New Regime! Firstly, A trigger warning for mental health/ self inflicted wounds when reading. you're only 18 years old. your name is zoe. you always had a love for the apocalypse but didn't think it would truly happen. and you slowly learn that nobody is who they say they are. Nobody is to be trusted. Things are gonna fall apart, and nobody can save us now. This book is being rewritten again and hopefully is better than the first and second time it was published. It's kind of cringe most of the way. Wrote it when i was like 13-14 years old or something and tried rewriting when I was about 16. Didn't work. Trying to rewrite it again at 20 but i don't think the first two books are saveable. Book three so far however is going well(i believe anyway). The second book has also been rewritten and will be rewritten again. now I'm working on finishing book three. All characters are mine but ellis is not I will be changing a lot of character names again in this rewriting process in all books, ellis being the biggest.Lengkap

He was the emo one, with black hair, bright green eyes and tattoos. He was obsessed with bands, especially Pierce the Veil. He'd never admit it, but Kai had a huge crush on Ashley Giles. Ashley. One of the most popular girls in school, with blonde hair and a lot of piercings. She was beautiful and and a tomboy, scared of nothing. But recently she'd changed. After dating Morgan Stanford, a massive jock, she'd become quiet and reserved. She no longer did what she wanted. Everyone thought Ashley and Morgan had a perfect relationship, but how come Ashley would come in with bruises and cuts? Kai saw right through everything and he was determined to save Ashley. But how was the bullied emo kid going to fight the strongest guy in school? Not all heroes can save people without saving themselves first.Lengkap

Twilight: Blood Moon
After the tragic death of Bella, Edward fell back into his depression, his self-hatred, he lost the one he truly loved. Renesmee never felt truly happy with her father; He did love her, but he was truly lost, and Renesmee being a reminder of his wife, caused him to neglect her. Only 14 years old now is torn between being a vampire/ human, learning more human characteristics than she thought, but her bigger worry is not being able to see the rest of her family... and her father for the time she has. It's all because of one individual...Jacob Black. She was ordered by her father and his family to stay with him because she wouldn't be safe with them. She never really understood why, but it wasn't fair. Having a family torn from her. Being with Jacob since she was 13 feeling like yesterday it's only been a month. She doesn't love the life she lives with Jacob She misses her father to some extent until she leaves to figure out where his location is.Lengkap

Either way, the number four ruled Bella's life and now that she had turned sixteen everything was a much bigger deal. Four sets of four is sixteen, and that meant that in her sixteenth year of life something was going to happen. She didn't know what would happen, but she knew that if she stopped counting to four whatever life had in store for her would turn bad. Fast. When her brother Kai comes home for the first time in a while, he sees how loud the voices in his little sister's head have gotten and decides to take things into his own hands. The decision changes everything for Bella and ends up making everything much more complicated.Lengkap
