"Kokichi, are you ready?" Kaito asked. "As ready as I'll ever be." I let out a nervous chuckle. "Ok... I'm going to start up the machine." The machine started up. The press started moving. Tears started rolling down my face. "I don't want to die... I'm scared..." That was the last thing I said before everything went black.

Shuichi -when he is a kid- lives with his parents and his uncle in Japan before they had to move to America, where he left his only childhood friend, Kokichi. Years had passed, and ever since he had moved overseas, Kokichi had made some new friends: Maki and Himiko. Their first high school year only started for them, but the murderous group that was once in America named 'The Despairs' had travelled to Japan, and was followed them was none other than the young detectives Shuichi with his non-biological sibling Tsumugi. They both enrolled in the same high school as Kokichi and his friends and things happened. Now how will this go as Shuichi and Kokichi solve things out while Shuichi's on the road to getting the Despairs to justice? Enter the amazing drama that comes with people using their psychic abilities and trying to everything in their power to get social status even murder if necessary. Follow the main characters as they are forced to solve a murder mystery and than deal with the culprits. Trust me read this! You are missing out.
