The second thing he feels is enlightened, impressed, and entertained. He can nearly see it in his minds eye, played out languidly and dreamily; him, plunging the blunt little knife into L's artery, the one right below his sharp, pale jaw, and L fighting back with everything he possibly has in him. Dark crimson trails down his neck, clavicle, sharp jutting bones, and pulsing sinew beneath paper thin skin. A reverie of the most violent and gruesome kind, pleasant and formless and without consequence.
