Aubrielle Buckner lives in a world filled with elementals (those with the power to control Fire, Water, Earth, or Air), known as the Praelia, and humans living in harmony, but separately. The country is divided in half; the west for the elementals, now known as the Praelia territory, and the east for the humans, known as East America. Just like there are evil humans, there are also evil elementals, known as the Nefarius. But, the difference is when you turn 18 you are forced to claim a side. This decision can break you or keep you whole. The Goddess of the Praelia lets you choose your fate based on the life you have lived and if you are faithful. While you may choose at 18, it is known that some people have switched sides later in life; those who have completely lost their faith can turn. Once you are one of the Nefarius, you never can go back. Aubrielle has the ability to control Water and when Aubrielle turns 18, she has to make her decision to become one of the Praelia or the Nefarius, but what she doesn't know is that her decision is far more important than she could've ever imagined.
How will she navigate this world with the help of her friends, family, and a handsome boy that she didn't think she would see again? And what about the ancient prophecy that was set by the Praelia Goddess that now seems to be a reality?
