Soft sounds of the wind graced the city, the night was silent and its darkness complimented by glittering stars and the glowing moon. There, two figures sat under the blanket of the sky, one of which was small and had curiosity shining in her eyes, a book brought to life with pictures in her little hands.

She turned the page tracing the illustrations with delicacy and admiration, eyes fixed on the ethereal faces.

She looked up towards the other figure and asked softly, "Momma, who are they?"

The mother couldn't hold in her smile as she lovingly looked from her daughter's doe eyes to the book that felt more like a photo album as she answered her daughter, "They are the GemZ"  a group of strong, enchanted heroes long ago . . . "

With the way the woman spoke of them, her daughter could sense how much these people meant and it made her more curious about these "fighters", and said

A story about superheroes in a modern world. Once, humans and power wielders were at war. The war brought both side to the brink of destruction, forcing peace or extinction. A tentative peace prevailed for a time. Enough to build trust between the two sides for many years. But as the two sides grew together some of the old hatreds began to stir again. Those who held these old hatreds became known as villains, while those who fought them became known as heroes. "Are you sure this will work?" one of the figures around the table ask. All are dressed in black and hide their faces. No one wants to be known to anyone else in 'this' type of alliance. "I'm certain of it. We need to simply kill the few true heroes left, and then expose the rest for the self righteous corrupt creatures they are. I've already started gathering the pieces I need." "What's the end goal here?" a third figure asks. "To purge the world of corruption and all those who turn a blind eye to it." There is a long silence before a fourth voice speaks out. Ever wonder where supervillains go after their fight with the hero? What about the other side of the story? It's not like they sit in their lair cackling all day and planning how to kidnap reporters. What about the lives they lead? And instead of just focusing on that, what if the superhero and the supervillain knew each other? I mean, can they see behind the mask? No, so their identities are secret. So what if the hero and villain were best friends? What if they were roommates? What if they were falling for each other? And what happens when they find out? Now, I assume you know all of these questions will be answered in this book. But hold on. It's going to take a while. You're in for a bumpy ride. And if any of you got any of the references in this description, give yourself a pat on the back. That is a beautiful thing. And if you can name all the references in this book, you truly are a gift to mankind. Fangirl out.

Will they be able to push their differences away and let the Moon goddess finish what she started, or will they be to pig-headed and stubborn to fall in love?
