A group of 10 people came up with the idea of the swipe. The swipe was designed to restart everyone's memories after every 100 years.
Only 10 people that were the 3rd son of each of the descendants of the original group were to know about the swipe at once. The 10 were the only ones allowed to remember the swipe once it had happened not even their families.
Tommy is one of the 10 at the age of 21 after his fathers horrible death. One hundred and Fifty eight days before the swipe is going to take place he meets Kelly Storm.
Kelly can never know Toms secret, Kelly will avoid telling Tom hers.
