Teaching you a lesson

I wrote a short story for university and being the creative person I am, I based one of the characters on Xie'er.

Yue is on a sightseeing tour with her friends when a statue catches her attention: an old man playing xiangqi without an opponent. She can't help but think back to the times when she used to play xiangqi with her grandfather. However, there is far more to this statue than meets the eye. When she touches one of the pieces, she is transported back in time...
