We both sat on the blue bench that seemed to become our safe spot. We didn't have to pretend when we were both together. I watched him struggle to eat his favorite ice cream with the white plastic spoon. He hadn't noticed me looking at him I laughed when his spoon broke. He looked up with a shy smile and then his cheeks turned red. "You didn't see anything" he says shying away from me when I smiled at him. I didn't say anything, but kept on watching him. I watched him grab another plastic spoon from the bag. "That's my spoon" I said. He smiled a little "I know it is". He's so stubborn with things. He couldn't have waited for the ice cream to melt a little. It was a simple memory that tore my heart to pieces. watching it fade and fall out of my hands. there was nothing i could do. absolutely nothing...All Rights Reserved
