After the "incident" with Stephen, Gray has not been the same. In fact, he doesn't even think he can ever be the same. The memories are too much for him to handle alone. I he were to go back to the same personality, it would destroy him. But after he transfered to a new school, Gray found new friends. Gray found comfort in these new friends. They cared for him, he cared for them. Gray held his friends close to his heart. They helped him recover over Stephen, created new memories for him to remember. But they could never replace Stephen, of course. Sometimes he wishes he could go back in time. To warn himself. To warn Stephen. "Don't trust them!" He would say to Stephen. "Don't go to the rooftop!". He wished he could meet him again. To hug him, to tell him he loved him, to stay with him forever. But he couldn't. So he cried. Almost every night. He tried to tell himself he had new friends, that he could forget Stephen, that he was okay. But as much as he tried, he couldn't convince himself that he could just forget him. Once he was done crying himself to sleep, he dreamt of his memories with Stephen. He couldn't convince himself. He just couldn't. He couldn't control his grief. He tried to tell himself that it wasn't his fault. That he wasn't responsible for Stephen's actions. But again, it was to no avail. Gray knew it was no use to cry or tell himself it was okay. He knew he would never see the love of his life again. He knew Stephen was never coming back.
