Midnight Charades

Osman has a secret. A secret he's kept a mystery. A mystery that is unsolvable, or it was until that night.
Meera, a History student with a passion for poetry and all things beautiful never dreamed that someone would catch her eye save for Marco, her longtime crush, but one night the moment before midnight she's caught in a chase with the very man that did so; Osman. Osman, the kind smiling flirt who's beloved by all who know him is heedlessly pursued and Meera is entangled in it by bad timing, and even worse luck.
Osman watches Meera from across the room, mentally noting the way the shadows and light sit on her face, like a painter seeking to capture the very essence of their subject. He's sure he must be mistaken, she cannot know - it would be impossible- but when their eyes meet his heart pitches because if he were to complete the portrait and paint her eyes they'd tell one clear story- she knows.
