Trapped in Atlanta, Georgia when the world fell apart, sixteen-year-old Y/N L/N lost everything. His family, friends, and most importantly, his life. Trapped, isolated, cut off from the world. He had never felt so alone. With his back against the wall, his mind akin to broken glass, his body weak and starved.

He came so close to the edge of the abyss.

Until the groaning of metal and wood hit his ears, and the voices that followed were like music to his soul.

"Ya know me, baby brother, once I stiff up the good ol' powder I get a taste for the munchies."

"Merle, shut up, we ain't alone in here."

Eased back into a world he hardly recognised, Y/N L/N would set out on a path along side the Atlanta group. Their teachings and his own experiences would mould him from a crippled teenager, into a hardened survivor.

And a trusted member of the family.

With that family, came responsibility, relationships, and unconditional love.

But could he be trusted enough to earn that love? With all the baggage he carried. Time would tell, but for now, he had a family to protect. After all, what's more important than family?

Well, other than the wandering gaze of the youngest Greene sister: Beth Greene, who couldn't help but wonder what lay behind those sad eyes of his.
