Six years later, both Amelia and Caine have parted ways and are living different lives, apart from each other.
Amelia used to be head over heels in love with Caine, but it's in the past now. She finally managed to get her life back on track after Caine left town so suddenly all these years ago, leaving her with nothing but a short, quick note, a million questions, and a broken heart.
Everything was fine until he showed up again.
Caine Williams has been dealing with everything from his dangerous world to get to the only woman he truly loves, Amelia White. Leaving town was a decision he needed to make, even if it broke Mia's heart. He made a promise to himself to come back for her when all his business is done. He's still head over heels in love with Amelia.
Six years later it's time to claim what's rightfully his. Nevertheless, nothing goes as he thought it would. Meeting the love of his life in the hospital after six years was not how he anticipated seeing her again. The hatred she holds for him, on the other hand, was what he had anticipated.
They both know why he's here, and they both know that Caine always gets what he wants.
Only this time, the passion is steamier, emotions increased, and everything is at risk. Hopefully, this journey of claiming what is rightfully his turns out to be positive and effective, and there will be no need for more hearts to shatter. Nevertheless, life will always be unfair and unpredictable.
All he can hope for is that this time, time will be to his advantage instead of against him, and she can only hope that he leaves to make her feelings towards him disappear again.
But aren't feelings who come back, feelings that never left?
All they know is the undeniable passionate attraction they feel towards each other.
But will it be enough to keep them together?
A Sequel To A Stranger To Him.
[Book 2 in the Secret series]
"That's not what I meant..." I chew on my lip.
"Well, what the fuck did you mean then?" He shouts.
"When I'm there I don't have to think about you!" I yell back. Wrong choice of words again, Sophia. I curse myself.
His form immediately stands and he strides over to me, he is now inches away from me, his body is so close to mine that I am forced to take a couple of steps backwards. My back is pressed up against the window. Noah's breathing is deep but he speaks softly, "when you're there all I can think about is you." He raises his hand and tucks a strand of hair behind my ear.
I step around him and head for the door, "uh I'm going to go to the hospital." I pick up my bag and rush out of the door leaving Noah in the room and saving myself from doing something I would definitely regret and make me change my mind about going back to Pennsylvania.
------------
