This is a collection of some poems and short stories that I've written. This was actually an assignment in class, but I thought I wanted to share it with everybody. (I'm really sorry, I'm not very good with writing poems and I can only write in repetition.) Walking into an empty house is normal to me. I guess I got tired of saying 'I'm home' when nobody is home to reply. It wasn't always like this. I remember when our family was close. Now we don't see each other any more. We don't talk to each other. We don't eat with each other. We don't ACKNOWLEDGE each other. This all happened after my 'Mother' killed herself. One Micro Fiction Story each Day [complete]
I have decided to force myself to write every day. I've tried to start a novel countless times, so I have reached the conclusion that it's better to write short stories. I was looking for Short Story challenges to make it exiting, and I found one that I liked; writing one micro fiction story each day, it doesn't matter how many words it has or what it is about, but, I have to finish one every day. I decided this was the best moment to start, it being march of 2020, and me being in quarantine with nothing to do. This is why this book exists, each day I will write a piece of micro-fiction and post it in this book. I believe that I will get better through time if I follow this challenge. Some day I may decide to stop it, though hopefully it will be in a long time. How Long it's Been {COMPLETED}
I was walking the rocky paths of the campground on tremulous legs, trying to clear my head of the voices shouting at me. My eyes were blurry and colours were mixing with sounds. I could see sounds, hear colours, my brain whirling as a sense of synesthesia took over. The wind was only a zephyr, but it felt like enough to pick me up and carry me to Oz. The voices were shouting at me, taking over every sense I had. I felt like I was swimming through a tidal wave, and I would never be able to get out of it. Salt water tears falling down my cheeks, and suddenly I was swimming through memories of him, the tears enhancing the stinging pain of his presence, and I don't think I can ever forget that feeling. Her Breaking Point
He had rules for a reason, or thats what he said. I did something wrong I got punished. I spoke out of turn, I got punished. I looked at him or ate without permission, I got punished. Haven thats what they named me funny isn't it? Ironic really. They named me Haven because my mom would say I was her 'Safe Haven'. What a pile of shit that was. She left willingly, she didn't depart because of some tragic accident. My father didn't kill her. She left because she was a coward who didn't want kids. As soon as my older brother went to college she left. I knew she hated me. I was the product of her love with another man. A constant reminder that her life didn't work out the way it was planned. He who ever he was is a phantom in its own. A deep rooted fantasy never going to come true. My brother left, my mother left, my grandma ignored, and my father broke. They let me give up hope on escaping and then decided to play hero. But I haven't forgotten everything I went through. Guilt consumes my brother but I don't care, you don't get to leave and then buy a reprieve of trying to save someone who has been dead for years. Besides lets just be honest I reached my breaking point long ago.Concluida
