After the fiasco that was the end of the Triwizard Tournament, Harry was sent back to the Dursleys' for the summer holidays. Unfortunately for Harry, it's more of the same. Heatstroke here, bruising there, and a little starvation all around. Left to stew in his juices away from the Wizarding World and his "friends" Harry finally reaches the end of his, frankly too long, rope. to say the least, he starts off with in a flaming fashion and finds himself facing a few cold-blooded truths.

Summary: Draco had a panic attack after seeing his worst fear charging at him. The entire scene ended up with a few unexpected people, more of an unexpected person, checking in on him. Will this small act of worry result in something more or will it continue as it is? Triggers: Mentions of abuse, Panic attack, Potion snuck into a drink, Slurs, Homophobia, Mild insecurity, Mild self-harm (nails digging into skin/scratching), mild food issues (kind of?? skipping meals.), Sexuality confusion and internalized homophobia. If you read this and feel I should add another trigger, please let me know! Notes: Takes place in Prisoner of Azkaban. Sirius had a trial in this version. He won and is free. Peter was the one who was imprisoned and escaped. I know it's unrealistic but honestly, it's a story. It doesn't have to make much sense. Sirius became a teacher with Remus. Sadly, Harry was still given to his aunt and uncle due to Dumbledore handing him over before Sirius had his name cleared, then claimed that Sirius wasn't mentally stable enough to handle Harry. Ron still has a pet rat; this one is just not Pettigrew. A handful of these boggarts are not canon! They are what I thought they could have been if they had a bit more mental issues than shown in the books/movies. Also please pardon the mass number of injuries shoved into the story I'm not good at taking things slow and boring lol. Draco's just a little unlucky. Type of story: Angst + Slow Burn Tragic Romance. In the battle of hogwarts, Harry never finds out the truth of his abilities and scar and as he destroys Voldemort's body after Neville slaughtered the snake, he thought victory was near. He didn't know there was one horcrux left... him. Thus with Voldemort's body destroyed, the soul inside Harry starts to merge and fight against Harry's in an attempt to over throw and control merge into his body. But the reaction and pain is violent and both souls burst causing the untimely death of Harry. But as the master of death, he meets death who offers him a chance to try again as his Death had been a ripple in his destined fate. Without hesitation, Harry accepts, determined to do things differently and knowing he's a horcrux - he vows to not lot any of his friends die. He is sent back to the triwizard tournament where he must restart his journey to defeat Voldemort for good. (Time-travel fiction, Few changes; Harry doesn't find out he was a horcrux in this story, so he doesn't go to the forest to die but he still had the stone in the snitch but never knew.
