Humans themselves could be bad but not as bad as any traveller. A traveller can be a human or a Elytrian. Piglin or ruler. Anyone could be a traveller. That's why the good people hid from them. To not be infected with their greediness.

Knowing well that the Mayor uses her to do his dirty work, Tennant decide to play along and start her search to find The Vigilante and Eleanor on her own. August 14, 3044. It was a future where humans didn't have to advance because technology did all the work for them.
