Guildar Greystone was born and raised as an inquisitorial agent for the Church of the Eight, implimenting their will as a hunter of monsters, beasts, and all things dark and foul... Or so he should have, as a recent civil war lead to the downfall of the Fifth Wing, those who remained were forced to repent for their actions amidst the Church of the Eight. Outcast, shamed, and downtrodden by peers and common folk alike, his youth at the time did little to absolve him from need for a life of atonement. Which has proven to him the hypocrisy of their ways and teachings.
His bitter search for a way out, for freedom, and for repentence beyond his old ways, and into the good of the people, leads him down a path of self-discovery, revelation, and a journey that he never expected would intertwine him in a fight against a great power.
