This isn't like a typical Hunger Games. A bit of a spin-off from it. There won't be any districts. (Like district 1, 2, etc.) I hope the writing is decent to read. I may not be the best writer, but I try. This isn't connected to any of my other Countryhumans books. More information will be in the book. Cover by me and drawings in the books will be by me too. Russia and Ame have had a rocky start. Things don't look like they're going to get better, until something suddenly happens. Now that Russia knows more about Ame's past, he tries to make up for it. But can the two enemies work it out? Or will they forever be torn apart by the past? Note: This AU takes place in a school. Basically, all countries go to that school no matter what age in order to learn about histories and current events plus new discoveries. Warnings: Ships are Russia x Ame, Canada x Ukraine, France x UK, Soviet x Reich, Germany x Poland, and North Korea x China. There will be some gore and some mentions of death. Angst. The 136th Hunger Games
When Kira Blackwood's name is reaped, she knows she's screwed. How is she supposed to survive in a fight to death with twenty-three other tributes, all of whom want to get out alive as much as she does? Not to mention, the thought of killing somebody twists her stomach into all sorts of unnatural shapes. Despite secretly training for the Games in the cow pastures surrounding her home, and being pretty handy with a knife, Kira's kind heart may be the thing that holds her back the most. However, as she navigates through the opulent world of the Capitol, and then the arena itself, Kira starts to realize that maybe, just maybe, it's not the dead she should pity, but the Victor. After all, no one ever really wins the Hunger Games. Survives, sure. But wins? Never. ~~+~~ Please Note: This is set in a world where the 2nd Rebellion failed. All usurpers were executed (except those pesky star-crossed lovers, who knows where they ran off to), District 13 was destroyed for good (but District 12 was rebuilt, on the basis that the Capitol realized that it actually really needed coal), and the Hunger Games were reinstated. This has meant not all of this story is historically accurate, as above, some of the historically accurate parts may be biased to a certain opinion(e.g. when talking about past events a country will see it as bad or good, who was on the 'good side' and 'bad side' etc.) This story is fictional and not meant to offend anyone in anyway. Sorry if HC's seem to change in the book and the characters personality is everywhere, I don't quite have my own HC's on countries yet and am influenced on others HC's.
