in a world where psychopaths and empaths are on opposite sides of the hierarchy. where psychopaths and sociopaths are treated like a freak of nature and empaths act as though they are as everyone else ought to be, a young girl named charlotte who was a well-known empath in her school shuts off her emotions accidentally after a freak accident.
only empaths with strong abilities can switch their emotions off- but what happens when she's unable to switch them back on? will she be able to ever feel again? will the taunting and bullying continue to worsen as she's labelled an outcast and grouped with the sociopaths?
in a battle for equal treatment and rights, in righting wrongs and trying to keep her social life intact, what is charlotte left to do? will she become the face of this movement, will she accept her new self or will she continue to strive to become who she once was and attempt to find a cure before she spirals into madness?
