Theirs was a world evolved. Karl never knew he was a mahuyo, a rare breed of people capable of controlling one of the four elements, until the day of the militia academy's appraisal test, when his assessment goes awry, and his latent abilities suddenly manifest. As far as Karl knew, he was completely ordinary. Karl must now be relocated to the upper echelon of the academy in order to get advanced training. All this seems to be happening too fast for Karl. What should have been a good thing is putting a strain on Karl's personal relationships, not to mention there's also the spike in difficulty of his training and education. Can he effectively navigate through all these unwanted changes? But more importantly, could there actually be something more to Karl, something more special? Theirs may have been a world evolved, but Karl just wants a life unchanged.

It was an unexpected situation when Pyra got linked with her first love again, who barely knew her. Their family's decision to arrange a marriage between their families made the whole situation more chaotic. It was heaven and hell for Pyra, knowing she'd be under the same roof as her Professor, and she knew from the start that the Professor couldn't love her. She wants to be valuable to her professor's life and own her, but because of the love and respect she has for her, she frequently steps back from forcing herself into her. Devastated, she barely knows what she is going to do. Could her avoidance of her professor be the solution to all her problems, or will it just make all the situation worse because of the fact that the professor is in her grip already and, with more effort, she can finally win her heart?
