Adrian Marello never knew what love was. After her parents were murdered while she was a baby, she was raised by her godmother in an institution meant to sculpt a proper lady. Adrian never seemed to fit in. Until she met Emma, who would later become a sister to her. Emma understood what it was like as an orphan, since she was abandoned at the institute and her family only cares enough to pay for her education. The girls shared a strong bond. A bond that was tested when Emma falls head over heels for the wrong guy and ends up having to raise her son, Sam on her own. Matters get worse when a car accident leaves Adrian without a best friend and Sam without a mother.

When she is mistaken to be Emma at the hospital, Adrian plays along for Sam's sake. But what will happen when Emma's family suddenly want her back home? Adrian gets stuck in a web of lies, secrets, and maybe even love.
