Monstrous Love

Humans live alongside sentient monsters... somewhat peacefully. Strange sentient beasts of all shapes and sizes populate the world. Monsters have existed alongside humanity for as long as history, however their origins are unknown. Biologically, they're an enigmatic mess that shouldn't exist at all. Yet somehow they persist. Some countries allow monsters to become citizens, other countries consider them nothing more than animals that may be hunted for sport. But nearly everyone agrees: it would be abominate for a human to love a monster. (Various one-shots, some repeating characters and stories, might be reworked into an actual story, mostly just world-building and satisfying my teratophilia.)
