Only wishing that he could one day have someone to hold his hand and smile up (or down - he's short) at him that way. He shakes his head, smiling, laughing inwardly at how pathetic he is.
Be patient, your time will come. He keeps reminding himself. He stares out of the cafe's glass facade, his warm breaths making the glass fog up. He wonders for the millionth time if he'll ever fall in love. He wonders for the millionth time if he's met her yet, perhaps crossed paths, unknowlingly. He wonders, once again, if he'll ever know what it feels like to love, and to be loved back.
