i'm a cornflower

i find i use poetry as a way to express my thoughts
as a way to simply get them down in words
instead of locked away in the crevices of my brain

i like to think with this you get to see me grow
you get to see my stories progress
stories of a girl who does not love me back
of the same girl who grew to be a possibility rather than a dream
stories of hurt and heartache

i hope you find comfort in them somehow
i hope you will find my thoughts less scrambled and more beautiful than the way i see them

and i hope you do not think me a fool
for being so unlucky in love

and most importantly, i hope you enjoy
