Valentine Phoenix Orson was the one to reject people. She was up the social ladder in the school and in the Downton Pack and was the Female Alpha's Beta and her best friend. Valentine had been known to be a player, a flirt, but has changed her ways. Then in comes Zed Griffin. He's new, an Omega, a geek and a pretty hot one at that, but way down the ladder from Valentine and turns out to be her Mate, her one and only (Shocker, I know!) But what happens next stuns her. HE rejects HER, the Omega rejects the Beta, the crowned rejectee. Because of this, Valentine is willing to take necessary steps, but in which direction will she go?
This is my first Werewolf story, and I'm trying to make it different from other rejection stories - Don't worry, there's still a rejection, still humour and still a love/hate relationship, but I'm trying to make it a bit less cliche and bring something a bit different to the table :)

All werewolves have mates. So what happens when you fall for someone before you're 18... "Hopefully hes my mate" is all Markie can think as she waits for her 18th. This is a short story that takes place in the middle of "Orphan Wolf". It can be read independently but will have spoilers if you intend to read "Orphan Wolf"... When I turn the corner I see a boy about 20 and am hit with an overpowering smell something like fresh cut wood and autumn leaves. It is amazing. I see the guy turn towards me and duck behind the house I am standing by before he sees me. Nope! Not him! Not happening! I hear footsteps coming towards me and run. Into the woods I find a pine tree. Perfect! Pine trees are great hiding places. The branches hide you visually and the smell masks your scent. I climb up as quickly as I can and watch the guy approaching. He circles my tree looking around but eventually gives up and goes back towards the houses. "Mate!" My wolf happily purs. "Not him!" I respond. "Denial." She says. "Refusal." I counter and she growls at me. "You will NOT reject him!" She orders. "He is a bully!" "He is mate!" "He commanded that kid when he could have just talked to him! He is a bully with no patience!" "He is an Alpha!" She purrs with pride at his rank. I don't care! "I don't want him!" "The one you want isn't mate. He isn't yours. He isn't interested... I want mate!" "No." I block her out and climb down the tree.Terminé

Mort, is the Alpha for the Red Crimson pack and I am his Beta, Taragon. He has recently found a mate and because of an accident that happened years ago after I found mine that caused her death, my punishment was that I would never have another mate. I accepted it as punishment for not protecting her at the time and caused her death. One day, the Alpha meets his mate and she happens to be a runt in one of the worst families of our kind. He isn't too happy with her and she's so fragile looking. Although, he feels that for her, she can still be useful around the house. While he's away, I take care of some things along with keeping an eye on her also. Then something happened, out-of-nowhere, I heard my inner wolf say, 'mate'. How can she be my mate when she's the Alpha's? What can I do since I can't let the Alpha know about this? I can't defy or go against the Alpha. Yet, I can't stand the way he treats her. I hope you all give this a chance. I was going to do something along the lines of having it be the Beta's mate being mistreated and then the Alpha takes care of her. However, I strayed away from that idea because I don't know, I felt this was a better idea since the Alpha is always coming out on top and Beta's don't have mush stories. (IF YOU DON'T READ ALREADY DONE FIRST IT WILL GIVE AWAY ALOT OF SPOILERS, THIS IS A WARNING) My mate is what we call special. Actually that's an understatment. If I had to get a mate why couldn't he be like, normal. Just a normal guy that will love me for the rest of my life, and put me before him, like mates are supposed to! Instead the Moon Goddess gives me him! The cocky asshole. Our story isnt as cliché as you may think. I guess that we sort of have a past and that's what makes things worse! The best part... he is the Alpha... for a pack across the world! I know, how can I even explain this to my family! This is horrible. Chapin (pronounced exactly as spelled chæ pin) could deal with not having a mate, but those dreams were crushed the day she felt the pull when she was only fifteen. Like any good story things don't go as Chapin planed. Especally the part where her mates pack is on the other side of the world. Things get complicated and she is starting to go nuts. She cant help thinking that she might just have to reject him. The thought is unbearable but it might be the only way. Maybe the Moon Goddess made a mistake.
