Seventeen-year-old Genève Westwood arrives at the luxurious Camp Joseph like she does every summer: ready to relax with her friends away from the city. Only this year, she's trading in her sunglasses and tanning oil for a stuffy office. Sacrificing time with her boyfriend, devastatingly handsome Easton Lexington, to write for the newspaper's advice column isn't exactly glamorous, but the letter of recommendation she'll need for college is worth it. At least that's what she tells herself. Soon, mysterious notes are submitted to the column that seems to know more about her relationship than she does. Easton's hiding something and the mystery note writer is hell-bent on proving it, not caring if Genève is collateral. With each note pushing Easton and Genève farther apart, she becomes determined to unmask the writer. Then, the notes start to become true, and disasters surround Genève. Canoes sink, necklaces go missing, and unlikely friendships are formed. It doesn't help that she feels drawn to the mysterious and charming, Harry, who works at the camp. As more secrets are uncovered, Genève doesn't know what to believe, but she has to act quickly, as her relationship and column are on the line. It's going to be a long summer.
