Alessa Klein has been rowing for the Harvey Cedars High School for the past three years, winning local and national titles with her four best friends, Mary, Brook, Danni, and Dana. Her story isn't all flowers and sunshine, however, because, after a freak accident at last year's Mid-Atlantic championships, Alessa finds herself having to live through her senior year without her childhood best friend. Renowned rower, Cameron Salvadore comes from a long line of Olympic rowers, and after a falling out with his childhood best friend, his family moves to the East Coast. As a senior, he's the new kid at Harvey Cedars High School with one goal in mind, to live up to his parent's legacy, but when his path crosses with the female 1V stroke, his heart draws him elsewhere. Will they be able to move on to an honest future or will the traumas of their past keep them apart?
