Alessa Klein has been rowing for the Harvey Cedars High School for the past three years, winning local and national titles with her four best friends, Mary, Brook, Danni, and Dana. Her story isn't all flowers and sunshine, however, because, after a freak accident at last year's Mid-Atlantic championships, Alessa finds herself having to live through her senior year without her childhood best friend.

Renowned rower, Cameron Salvadore comes from a long line of Olympic rowers, and after a falling out with his childhood best friend, his family moves to the East Coast. As a senior, he's the new kid at Harvey Cedars High School with one goal in mind, to live up to his parent's legacy, but when his path crosses with the female 1V stroke, his heart draws him elsewhere.

Will they be able to move on to an honest future or will the traumas of their past keep them apart?

This story is my happy place; I do not plan on ever finishing it. It will go on and on like a soapie. Might break it up into volumes later. "Grab a bunch of broken misfits, chuck them in a tribe, add some glitter and loads of weird-as garbage, voila, you've got yourself a fairy tale... kinda... just... you know... minus the fairies..." Paisley Davenport ♫ When Willow Mayfair's life falls apart, her mother brings her to Briar Cove, the small coastal town where she grew up. Living with Rebecca's childhood friend, a new world filled with love, excitement, and friendship opens up for both of them. For everybody who also dreams of a fairy tale and won't care if the "knights" were a little dirty. Genre: Slice of Life/Romance/Humour This is a slow-burn journey through love and life, filled with an array of beloved characters, their sad moments, happy moments and a multitude of bat-sh#t crazy moments. P.S.: This is not a fairy tale... Thank you: Micaela, for helping the characters take on a life of their own and encouraging me to keep on writing. Phillo, for not minding reading girly stories... if it's to help your mom. Jeandré, your weird-as sense of humour and quirky feedback inspires me and keeps me going. ♫ This is a work of fiction. Any names or characters, businesses or places, events or incidents are fictitious. Any resemblance to actual persons, living or dead, or actual events is purely coincidental. Featured on @Romance and @Ambassadors Cover art by the fabulous @LNRoberts1. It's 2019 and university student, Olivia O'Shea, doesn't possess the luck of the Irish as her name might suggest. Instead, she's feeling like she might just be the unluckiest girl on the planet. Her high school sweetheart, Daniel Burns, whom she continued to date in college, was found with his fingers, and a few other more salacious body parts in someone else's cookie jar. Now it's summer vacation and Olivia is back in her hometown licking her wounds and trying to forget it all. At their old high school's international food festival, Olivia runs into Daniel with his new girlfriend, and a storm is definitely brewing. But this storm is a real one with thunder, lightning and rain, and Olivia, caught out in the open, is suddenly struck by lightning. She wakes up in the high school infirmary only to find that she's been transported back to high school with the chance to do it all over again. Olivia is determined to ditch Daniel, in spite of his stubborn advances, and instead tries to rekindle an old flame with the shy introverted Jack Garcia, with whom she'd shared one very spectacular kiss back in high school. As Olivia attempts to pursue Jack, Daniel keeps getting in the way and frustrating her plans. Can she really change her future for the better, or is history only meant to repeat itself? If you liked the iconic 1980s rom-com Peggy Sue Got Married, then you'll love this modern retelling of the classic, time-travel, do-over, second chance at love.
