It's been years since a small virus changed the whole world. Well, that small virus wasn't so small anymore.
Precautionary measures turned into laws. Countries were divided into parts. The pure cities and the infected cities.
Humanity lost touch with each other and soon many of them lost the touch of humanity too.
The most important law was to stay away from humans. The no-touch rule.

The one's that recovered after getting the virus became pure. They were transferred to the pure cities. But the remaining were still in the infected cities waiting for their turn. The Virus killed people, until it didn't.

The law was only kind to the pure cities since they were the start of a new civilization. They were given everything. They didn't pay attention to the infected cities. Only the pure people.

The infected cities were gone beyond saving. Some followed the rules really well but in the most of the cities, there were no rules. It was just chaos.

My name is Valerie. And I live amidst that chaos waiting for death itself.

His name is Martius. He lives in the house next to me and he is death itself.

She looks up at me, taking a step forward and smiling slightly, "How can I ever get hurt when I have you here to protect me?" "But you could have gotten hurt," I murmur softly, hanging my head and feeling my shoulders drop, the tension seeping from my body. "No. Stop," She cuts me off sternly but tenderly, "Don't talk like that, Reece. I'm okay, you're okay, we're okay," She speaks softly, reaching her hand up to gently brush her thumb over my cheek, just under the cut that's there. "We're okay," I repeat, taking a small step closer to her. She nods with a small smile, moving her hand down from my cheek and instead placing the palm of her hand on my chest, right over my heart. I know she can feel how fast my heart is beating. I just don't know why it's doing that. ~ Reece Carter is the bad boy of Northwood High. He smokes and he fights. His lips trail down my neck, sending shivers all over. "I love looking at you," he breathes, brushing the hair off my shoulders. "Will you let me look at you?" My heart hammers, a wild thing seeking his. "Yes." So he does. And I feel it. For a long moment, I just feel his eyes. Then, his hands. They skim down my spine, bowing my body into his. When his lips find my throat, I lean back into his hands, my eyes closing. He kisses between my breasts, then across them, taking my nipples into his mouth, swirling his tongue, sucking, and kissing, always kissing. I gasp lightly, my fingers curling into his hair. His response is a smile against my skin. He explores the expanse of my chest, my stomach, my shoulders. He pulls my arms out to kiss them, all the way to my wrists...all the way back. He presses affection into my skin, injects trust into my veins. Then he eases me to my back and does it all over again. ******* An obscure tutoring opportunity brings Camila closer to three friends: Noah, Jed, and Fox. Hi, I'm Eliza. Looking back I probably should have left him alone. We went to school together all our lives, but I doubt he knew who I was. First red flag. Of course I knew him. The entire school knew him. Second red flag. He was hiding something. Something scary, something that could break us before we began. Strike three. He should be out, then he kissed me and I still swoon thinking about it. Then he fucked my sister. Strike a million! My smart mouth best friend Beatrice is as much my therapist as I am hers. Trauma buddies! She never lets me live down what happened between us but she was my biggest supporter. But let's skip ahead to I ended the bad boy's reign. But believe me, I wanted to kill him many times-I still do- at some points I even hated him. I'm not gonna lie he probably hated me too. As many times as I kicked him in the balls I probably messed up my chances of having children. Well... no I didn't. Not to mention all the pots I threw at him. That's a concussion right there. God, is my relationship that crazy? Elijah says it means make up sex will be great. I can't say he's wrong, but won't admit he's right. In all honesty, I'm the only one that was there for him and he's all I want. I ended his reign on bitches and hoes, captured his heart, and I'm never letting go.
