“Are you really in love with me?”
It was a simple ‘yes or no’ question that could’ve — should’ve been easily answered. But of course, like in every other situation, Camila was lost for words and she couldn’t find herself admitting to her that she was in fact in love with her. Lauren gave Camila so many chances, so many chances to be true to herself and everyone else. Sometimes it’d get so hard waiting around for Camila to accept herself.
Camila wasn’t completely afraid to love Lauren; well maybe she was a little, but the consequences that’d come after was what really scared the teenager. She didn’t know what her parents may think of her, she didn’t know what her friends may think of her, her family, her classmates, etc.
Lauren broke the silence with a sigh and buried her glove-covered hands in her pockets, “Okay then.”
And just like that, all Camila’s chances were gone.
or two dorm mates are ridiculously in love with each other but choose to ignore it for the sake of each other
'Don't say it' she whispered
'Why?' I challenged as I stalked towards her 'I can't say that I'm falling in love with you? Because I've already fallen Camila and... I need you to catch me'
'I can't' she said quietly, tears brimming her eyes 'this is for your own good Lauren'
I smiled sarcastically as I ran a hand through my hair 'no, no it's not' I took one last look at her before I hopped on my bike.
