The Scarlet Witch, on a whim, hooked up with a random supersoldier and got pregnant. She didn't even know his name. Out of fear and shame, she abandoned the child in the woods, leaving it to be raised alone by a family of Foxes.
Twelve years later, Gambit and Rogue see a feral child, blonde hair and blue eyes, whimpering with a baby Fox, who she calls "Look" in her hand. They take her to the Xavier Institute and figure out she is a mutant: a supersoldier with flight and telepathy. They nickname her "Fox" take her and study her for four years, attempting to teach her how to assimilate into society, but still know nothing of her lineage.
Prodigy is the one to figure it out, four years later. In a moment of uncharacteristic impulse, he takes 16-year-old Fox to the Young Avengers to meet her older brothers, Wiccan and Speed. Knowing very little English and having poor motor skills, Fox is going to meet her greatest challenge yet: a human family.
