During the fight against Tenjiku, Takemichi lay dying after being shot by Kisaki. Upon seeing the mortal state of his best friend, Chifuyu is faced with the reality of losing another person he holds dear. In Takemichi's final moments, Chifuyu grips his friend's hand and promises to save everyone in his place. After declaring this, he wakes up in his room a year and a half in the past. Now it's up to Chifuyu to protect his friends and stop their futures from slipping into darkness.
Author's note: So I'm pretty sure I got the time gap a bit wonky initially. I thought a year had passed in the story, but it seems it's only been about 7 months. Instead of 2 years, Chifuyu actually would need to jump a year and a half to be back in his first year of middle school. Since he's in his second year of middle school at the beginning of the story. I think I'm right...hopefully. If my timeline is still off, feel free to correct me. And if you're just finding this story, then this note is probably irrelevant to you at this point lol.
