In the future, the Earth is destroyed thanks to the human race. All of the air is polluted and unbreathable, the land is completely covered in debris and garbage, and the water is brown and infected with diseases. The Earth is no longer fit for human life. The humans moved to Mars attempting to escape "the old life" and create "the new life". Life is different now. Aubrey Black is learning how hard life in middle school is. Especially because your gender is not chosen until you are 18.
