Epilogue

"Get off of her" I screamed as he was hitting my mom repeatedly. He stopped momentarily to catch his breath and that's when I took the opportunity to pull him off my mom and punch him in the face. "You little shit" He yelled at me, he started hitting me... but as long as it got him away from my mom I didn't care. He kept punching and hitting, he didn't stop this time. He didn't care that I was bleeding, he didn't care that my mom and I were screaming. He didn't care at all... He was drunk, he was always drunk...! He started drinking when I was 5 after my sister's accident. "Stop hitting him" My mom screamed as tears were rolling down her face. "Shut up you stupid bitch" He slapped my mom again. Little did he know that I had called 911. I told the operator to inform them not to arrive with their sirens on. As it would alert him that he would be going to jail. They did just that. They kicked our door down. "Get on the ground!" the officer yelled. He tried to run but he was too late. They tased him and cuffed him once he was on the ground. They called 2 ambulances, one for my mom and one for me. I don't know what happened to my mom on her way to the hospital but I was being asked all sorts of questions. "Did you hit your head?" one of the ladies in the ambulance said. "Yeah, I did when I fell after he hit me," I told her, She spoke into her weird device thing. The man that was driving turned on the sirens and tried to get to the hospital as fast as possible. Everything went black, but I could hear the panic in her voice.
