On October 1, 1989, 43 women went into labor around the world after showing no signs of pregnancy. Reginald Hargreaves and his business partner, Jack Fox, adopted ten of those babies, raising them as their own to create the Umbrella Academy. Each of the children possessed unique superpowers, so he trained the group to become a team of crime-fighters capable of preventing an apocalypse. But due to differences in their approaches to how they wanted to raise these superpowered kids, Jack left, only taking 3 of these babies.
They formed The Elite.

On the first day of October 1989, forty-three women around the world simultaneously gave birth. None of the women showed any prior signs of pregnancy. Sir Reginald Hargreeves, eccentric billionaire and adventurer, made it his personal mission to find and adopt as many of these children as possible. He got eight of them with that one set of twins that maybe came from the same mother but in appearance, they were as different as anyone could be. Number Four and Number Eight...often used as the main subjects of experiments when it came to power. Sir Hargreeves' main focus was however on the young Number Eight which eventually led to the girl disappearing in the storm of her own powers. But what if she somehow comes back after the death of her father? What if she gets reunited with her twin and what if the boy she thought she lost and who she used to have a crush on came back as well with the news of the nearing Apocalypse? Before the umbrella academy, hargreeves simply tried to put powers into one's body. To twist the DNA in such a way that they would have abilities. Therefore he adopted a child, her name was Elizabeth. Soon, she had to ability to turn her body into a gas. However, after that succeeded he got mad with power. He wanted to see if it was possible to make someone immortal. it was much too dangerous to try to on himself, therefore, he chose Elizabeth. Instead of making her immortal, it made her "stuck" in a way. She simply did not age, she was stuck in the body of her 13-year-old self. She would eventually die as her mind aged, but her appearance would stay the same.
