Regina Mills, high profile lawyer living in New York, has just had her heart broken. Her fiancé has left to 'try fix his relationship with his wife.' Now she's on a long trip home to Storybrooke, Maine so she doesn't have to answer everyone's questions over her missing ring. She's hopeful the quaint little town will hide her away long enough for the next juicy story to break and maybe heal her heart.

Emma Swan, bail bondswoman, has just rejected the proposal of the man she thought she was in love with, Walsh. The sudden end of their 9 month relationship has left her homeless and confused. Now she's travelling home from Boston missing her uncomplicated little hometown and her parents' relentlessly hopeful advice.

When the two young women meet on their travels they bond over their similar situations and maybe, just maybe find more than just friendship.
