You can say that I'm a basic teen going through rough times but hides what I really feel. You've heard those kinds of stories before, right? But I'm different from all of them, in my opinion I guess, well maybe in our society there's a thousand replicas of me or maybe I'm just one of the thousand replicas of a typical adolescent torn between two personalities. I'm Philippa Shae and here is my story- or if you like, here is the story of a cluster of many misunderstood but actually hard to understand teenagers.

I've been very depressed and heartbroken so, what better than to create a story out of it? "This is my life" details a protagonist going through her teenage years up until the age of 21. Through love, friendship, grief, and heartbreak, you will get to witness what it's like being a young black girl trying to conquer the world. I hope anyone going through either heartbreak, grief, insecurities, mental health declines are able to read this and know that they're not alone! Life can be so ugly at times, but I promise things always get better. Not your typical romance or teen fiction book!
