Without them is a death sentence, or that's what every kid believes nowadays.
After fleeing from a monster in the TVs, Mono is left with his eyes useless. Stumbling into a group of two, he is desperate for help, unknowing of the threat he is putting on them by just being there.
Six was born mute, she couldn't make a noise if she tried. She was her best friend's ears, just like he is her voice. They lived this long together, surviving in The Maw, despite their disabilities. With the new boy, she only wonders for how long though.
Seven was born in a completely silent world. Quiet gears grinding, silent laughter of children, enable to hear on his own. Maybe that's why he and Six got along. They were best friends from the time they both arrived, seeming to understand one another perfectly, even with his useless ears. When meeting the new boy, pity fills him. He knew what it was like to not being able to sense danger, and despite the risk, he wishes he could come with them. If only he knew of the danger the new boy brought with him.
