Life is not easy for sixteen year old Christopher Gallagher. With an absent father, and a deceased step-mother, he's left to raise his five younger siblings on his own. Balancing raising five kids, maintaining an 96 (A+) average GCSE, and two part-time jobs as well as his own personal health (both physical and mental) will be proven most difficult at this prominent time in his life. Not to mention the jock, who for some reason, just can't seem to stop trying to befriend him. The jock who, at every important event in Christopher's life, seems to be right there. Right there to support him. The jock with the emerald eyes that stare straight into his soul. The jock, who he just cannot get out of his head, no matter how hard he tries..
