4 parts Ongoing

Katrina "Trina" De Maguiba has always dreamed of success, stability, and a life free from the burdens of hardship. Despite graduating at the top of her class, she struggles to find a job, her family is falling apart, and life seems to be working against her at every turn. But when a tragic incident leaves her on the brink of death, she wakes up in an entirely different world-18th-century Philippines, in the body of Mateo Salazar, a mestizo doctor with a seemingly perfect life. However, Mateo's world is far from ideal. Torn between duty and desire, he must navigate the expectations of his privileged lineage, an arranged marriage, and the secrets of his heart. As Katrina struggles to adjust to a life that is not her own, she is drawn into a tangle of love, betrayal, and sacrifice that will force her to make impossible choices. With history unfolding before her, Katrina must determine whether she will follow the path set for Mateo or forge a new destiny-one that could change not only his fate but also her own. Set against the backdrop of Spanish-era Philippines, El Mestizo is a sweeping tale of love, regret, and the search for one's true purpose.
