Anya Vorian wasn't picky. She'd take any apprenticeship that came her way. She, Lori and Andrew had prepared all winter for the interviews, but when only one offer came with her name on it, she suddenly wasn't so sure that she could do it. 

It was hard work, for one thing. It was dirty. They were respected, certainly, but in the sort of way that one respects a skilled plumber - grateful to have the job done, but glad it isn't your arms elbow deep in dung. In short, runners were odd folk.

Maybe it was time to get fast.

Wether or not it's fair is the least of her worries, and to make matters worse, the king of nightmares himself, Pitch, had taken interest in tormenting her and striving to create her as his slave. All though I may not be good socially, I can make people fall to their knees if they knew my story and everything I carry within of it. If people were in my mind, they'd cry. The Director I saw her walking in the school hallways, not a care in the world. Acting as if she was the toughest person in the room and knew I had to make her mine. Even if it was just for a minute. I wanted to recruit and let her meet my friends. I know someone whose broken like the back of my hand because quite frankly, aren't we all? The Producer She took my breath away.
