Hitoshi was running.
He'd been running his whole life.
From his foster parents, from bullies, from the future everyone claimed he was destined to have.
He'd always run away from his problems, it was all he knew how to do.
But he was getting so, so tired of it.
And that was how he wound up on the rooftop of his latest foster parents' apartment building at 1 in the morning, thinking that perhaps it was time to stop running and face the truth.

Akira is a boy with issues. He can't read, or write, or anything like that. All the 15 year old boy knows how to do is fight, talk, eat, sleep, and walk. Of course, he has common sense and can do normal stuff and act like a person. But he never went to school, never got a proper education since his dad died. Akira is also a vigilante, he's been one for a while. He can take down villains that heroes cannot. What happens when problems start to arise and a hero tries to save the boy? Akira knows that he can't trust anyone. So at first he's skeptical and scared. But when he finally trusts this hero, how will everything play out? Will Akira continue to fight by himself? Pt2!! Where Shinsou continues to jokingly call his mentor dad followed by an internal conflict bc he actually might want him as his dad. Aka all the instances where he calls him dad and gets treated like his son then goes through crisis. Pt2 of 'Nighttime struggles (wish they were snuggles)' Can technically be read as a standalone, but the first pt has the first time he ever calls him 'dad'. Part IV: Shinsou Shinsou Hitoshi doesn't remember his birth parents. Apparently, they gave him up when he was a newborn. He likes to imagine they were good people, good people who couldn't take care of a child and gave him away in the hope that it would give him the best chance at life. They couldn't know how badly it would go for him. That's what he liked to think. Shinsou Hitoshi had a very strange friend (well, ok, most of his friends were very strange, but Silver was Weird). But when they're asked to do projects on their families and he's partnered with her, it seems like a cool idea to ask her if she can find anything about his birth parents.
