Lena has just come to terms with everything that has happened in the last year. The project she'd been tricked into working on with Lex had failed miserably. All she wanted to do was create a world where people were incapable of hurting each other, but in doing so she'd not only hurt herself, but she'd further driven away the only friends and family she'd ever truly had. She lost EVERYONE. and it was ALL her fault.

Doing what she always does, Lena decides to dull the pain away with copious amounts of alcohol. But instead of drinking herself into oblivion, she finds her self on the floor in her empty home surrounded by broken glass and covered in her own blood, and face to face with the one person she wishes she could go back and fix things with.

Lena was at Catco when she got the news. More precisely, Lena watched as Supergirl was thrown off a building and pummeled in the middle of the street on live television with the rest of her staff. She froze in her spot, tears in her eyes, jaw tightened, hands in tight fists at her side. She will be fine. She will be fine. She has to be fine. Get ahold of yourself. Your employees cannot pick up on your distress right now. The newscaster on the TV talked over the scene, "It looks like Supergirl is being rushed off site. No news on her current condition. It seems like her opponent fled the scene shortly after it was flooded by federal agents. We will continue to provide coverage as we learn more." ***This is an already completed work. Kara lands herself a new job as caretaker for the Luthor's. She's to take care of their youngest daughter Lena, who's been forced to move back in with her mother after a devastating explosion at her job, causing multiple fatalities and her brother's incarceration, nearly killed her too. That's been a year ago and physically, Lena is fine, but she has a severe depression and needs someone to look after her. That's where Kara comes in. During her time with the Luthor's she slowly finds out there's a little more going on, though.
