the most known relationship in mondstadt was kaeya and diluc. after kaeya was taken in by diluc's father, crepus, the two acquired a relationship like no other. both the brothers would always be called "two peas in a pod" by crepys and his close friends. rightfully so, as well.

crepus died.

diluc's attempt at killing kaeya, more or less, had ruined what was left of their brotherly relationship. everything from that point on, they were strangers. they would still bicker over kaeya's drinking (diluc's wine, of course,) but that was it. diluc's secret identity as the darknight hero and his hate for the knights of favonius proved his grudge against both his brother and the knights.

kaeya then follows crepus.
