Eaden is an angel of death; not THE Angel of Death, but one of many reapers whose job is to escort newly departed souls to the afterlife. It is a sometimes messy and unsettling job, but it is hers, and she takes it seriously and does it well. After all, the delicate balance of Good and Evil relies heavily on the dispensing of souls to their proper place of rest - or unrest. It's simple really: watch over your charges, don't be late, dispatch the occasional snatcher, deliver the souls where they're meant to go, and NEVER intervene. Everything must happen naturally to ensure that all plays out according to the divine plan. She knows her job so well she could do it in her sleep if she slept, but she sometimes can't help but to think she was meant for something more. She dreams of fulfilling a higher purpose and serving in a position better suited to test and expand her skill set. But when a soul destined for Salvation takes a sudden turn toward the alternative, Eaden must choose between an opportunity to rise in the ranks of the Heavenly hosts and breaking all the rules to maintain the balance and prevent all out supernatural war.
